You may not be aware of it, but your ability to sense the physical-material world through your organs of perception – sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch – are regulated by the organs of your subtle field, particularly your chakras. With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that, by activating the appropriate chakras, you can enhance the function of your senses and then use them as tools to enrich your experience of intimate relationship and to achieve Self-realization.
Unfortunately, karmic baggage, external projections and the influence of non-physical beings can dull your senses by alienating you from your body, your subtle field and – by extension – your non-physical and physical-material environments.
In order to counteract the dulling of your senses, we can use the potential of the chakras in your body space along with the corresponding chakras below body space to enhance your sense of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing.
Chakras Above and Below Body Space
The claim that there are chakras outside personal body space is not entirely new. Some ancient texts refer to seven chakras below personal body space, that regulate the baser functions of human nature. Other texts refer to six more chakras above personal body space. Unfortunately, none of the ancient texts offer much detail concerning the chakras’ structure and function.
More recent research indicates that the chakras above personal body space are located above the seventh chakra, beginning one and a half inches (four centimeters) above it. From that point, they extend approximately eighteen feet (six meters) above the top of the head.
The chakras below personal body space begin their descent downward just below your first chakra at the base of your spine. The first chakra below personal body space is located three inches (eight centimeters) below the perineum, and the remaining chakras extend downwards approximately eighteen feet (six meters).
The structure of the chakra gates above and below personal body space are almost identical to the chakras within it, except for their length. They are about forty percent shorter. Like the chakras within body space, all external chakra fields have seven parts that are surrounded by surface boundaries composed of luminescent fibers that crisscross one another in every conceivable direction.
It’s the first six chakras below personal body space whose function we will enhance because, along with your chakras in body space, they have the most influence on your five senses.
In the following series of exercises, you will enhance the functions of your five senses by activating the two chakras that regulate their activities. Then you will center yourself on the dimensions regulated by the two chakras you’ve activated.
You will enhance your sense of touch by activating your third chakra and your third chakra below body space and then by centering yourself on the dimensions regulated by these two chakras. You will wake up your sense of smell and taste by activating your fifth chakra and fifth chakra below body space and by centering yourself on the dimensions regulated by those two chakras. Finally, you will wake up your sense of sight and hearing by activating your sixth chakra and sixth chakra below body space and by centering yourself on the dimensions regulated by those chakras.
Enhancing Your Sense of Touch
To enhance your sense of touch, you will activate your third chakra and your third chakra below body space. Then you will center yourself on the dimensions regulated by these two chakras. The dimensions I’m referring to are the third dimension and the third dimension below body space. Once you are centered, you will turn your organs of perception inward on those two dimensions.
To begin, find a comfortable position with your back straight. Then breathe deeply through your nose for two to three minutes. Continue by counting from five to one and from ten to one. Once you’re relaxed, assert, “It’s my intent to activate my third chakra.” As soon as your third chakra begins to vibrate and/or glow, assert, “It’s my intent to activate my third chakra below body space.” Take a minute or two to enjoy the shift. Then assert, “It’s my intent to center myself on the levels of my third chakra and third chakra below body space.” Continue by asserting, “It’s my intent to turn my organs of perception inward on the levels of my third chakra and third chakra below body space.”
Take fifteen minutes to enjoy the meditation. Then count from one to five. When you reach the number five, open your eyes. You will feel wide awake, perfectly relaxed, and you will experience the benefits that come from enhancing your sense of touch.
Enhancing Your Sense of Smell and Taste
Your senses of smell and taste are closely related. To awaken them both, you will activate your fifth chakra and your fifth chakra below body space. Then you will center yourself on the two dimensions regulated by these charkas, the fifth dimension and the fifth dimension below body space. Once you’re centered, you will turn your organs of perception inward on those two dimensions.

Enhancing Your Senses of Sight and Hearing
To awaken your senses of sight and hearing, you will activate your sixth chakra and your sixth chakra below body space. Then you will center yourself on the two dimensions regulated by these chakras, the sixth dimension and the sixth dimension below body space. Once you’re centered, you will turn your organs of perception inward on these two dimensions.

Once you’re relaxed, assert, “It’s my intent to activate my sixth chakra.” As soon as your sixth chakra begins to vibrate and/or glow, assert, “It’s my intent to activate my sixth chakra below body space.” Take a minute or two to enjoy the shift.
