Africa & the Extraterrestrials

By Keith Sherwood

Humans are interdimensional beings, which means they’re capable of traveling through time-space on the physical plane as well as the subtle planes of energy and consciousness that interpenetrate it. Humans are not alone when it comes to physical and interdimensional travel. There are other sentient beings who are both advanced souls and who are technologically advanced. This means that interaction between sentient beings on both the physical and non-physical dimensions is not only possible; it has happened many times throughout human history. We only have to examine the traditions and rituals of one remarkable African tribe – the Dogon – to recognize this as fact, not fiction.

The Dogon inhabit an area of the Mali highland called the Bandiagara Escarpment. Unlike many African tribes, they believe in one universal deity, Amma, who in omnipotent and omnipresent.

Shannon Dorey, the Canadian author and researcher, believes that the Dogon religion existed in Africa before the first homo sapiens migrated to other parts of the world.

According to Dorey, “When homo sapiens migrated from Africa for other continents, they took their religion with them including many Dogon beliefs,” which according to Ms. Dorey makes “the Dogon religion the mitochondrial religion of the world.

However, it’s their astronomical knowledge which has fascinated investigators since they were first studied in the 1930’s.

The Dogon have no written language, but according to their oral tradition, which is at least five millennia old, Earth is a sphere that is tilted on its axis; Jupiter has four major moons; Saturn has rings, and Earth and the other planets orbit the Sun.

Extraordinary as it sounds, the Dogon’s celestial knowledge doesn’t end with the solar system. The Dogon also know that the solar system is part of an immense spiral-shaped galaxy – and that Sirius A, which is the brightest star in the night sky, had a much dimmer companion Sirius B, which is extremely dense and follows a fifty-year elliptical orbit around Sirius A.

Are the Dogon Elders Psychic?

According to their oral tradition, it wasn’t the psychic insight of their ancestors, but amphibious beings from the Sirius system, known as Nommos, who chatted them up. The Nommos lived on a planet that was part of the Sirius system. According to the Dogon legend, these chatty extraterrestrials landed on Earth centuries ago in a noisy spaceship that made a spinning decent to the ground.

The Dogon recount that, after arriving on Earth, the Nommos gave them information about the Milky Way as well as both the Solar and Sirius systems. What is most astounding about all this is that it wasn’t until 1862 that the American astronomer Alvan Clark recognized that Sirius was a binary system, and it wasn’t until 1970 that his calculations were confirmed. What’s more; it wasn’t until the beginning of the twentieth century that astronomers were able to prove that our galaxy had an immense spiral shape.

It’s interesting to note that the Dogon also claim that there is a third star in the Sirius system that has yet to be discovered, and ongoing gravitational observations may prove that they’re correct once again.

Were the Nommos Jet-Setters?

Amphibious extraterrestrials like the Nommos also appeared in other ancient cultures. In Babylonia, a similar being appears in their sacred texts. He is known as Dagon or Dagan and is depicted as a merman or fish god. Deities with similar attributes also appear in ancient Greek and Slavic mythology. Even Isis, the Egyptian goddess of fertility, is sometimes depicted as an aquatic God who is associated with Sirius.

Some researchers have connected the Dogon to the Dogū in Japan. They point to statues of the Dogū, celestial beings, attired in spacesuits that resemble astronauts.

According to legend, the Dogū arrived in flying ships, bringing written language and many aspects of civilization to the Japanese.

Fact or Fiction

Even if the majority of governments and societal institutions still dispute the fact that extraterrestrials have visited the Earth, anyone with the ability to see into the non-physical universe will recognize that extraterrestrials have continuously influenced the evolution of human society. Their interference explains why there has been so much conflict and divisiveness on Earth at least since the birth of civilization.

Fact is Stranger than Fiction

If the Dogon as well as countless people with inner vision are right, it means that extraterrestrial influence may go beyond mere physical contact – and the effect a more advanced technological culture has on a more primitive one. That’s because the Dogon oral history suggests that the Nummos may have been influencing humanity on the non-physical levels of energy and consciousness as well. This is not as far-fetched as it sounds because as I’ve already mentioned – all sentient beings are capable of interacting with each other on both physical-material and non-physical dimensions.

So, What Does That Mean?

It means that the destiny of humanity has always been manipulated by extraterrestrials on both the physical-material and subtle levels of energy and consciousness. Extraterrestrials have been able to manipulate humanity for centuries by convincing our ancestors that they were Gods and by projecting fields of energy and consciousness at human beings in order to advance their agenda.

Extraterrestrial influence extends to our religious, cultural, social, economic and political institutions. This means that we’ve never been in control of our collective destiny – and until humanity on masse looks beyond the distorted values that support these institutions, it will never be entirely free.
